An ordinance banning swimming with dolphins was issued in October, along with spinner dolphins within 2 nautical miles (4 km) of the major coasts of the Hawaiian Islands under the US Marine Mammal Protection Act regulations. It is forbidden to swim in or closer than 50 yards (46m). This regulation applies to boats, canoes, stand-up paddles, drones or other objects.
The U.S. Marine and Atmospheric Administration has also proposed regulations that ban access from 6 am to 3 pm in some areas of the Big Island and Maui, which are considered essential daytime habitats for spinner dolphins. ..
Unfortunately, I love swimming with dolphins, so there are various theories about dolphin habits, but I don't know the true feelings of dolphins.
