Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay has become difficult recently since Hanauma Bay has become a reservation only two days ago.
For the past two years, I have been looking for spots where there are many fish in shallow water.
One of the popular spots this summer was the tide pool (a natural pool created by the ebb and flow of the tide) on the west side of Oahu.
If you check the tide times and go at the right time, fish will come in from the open sea.
I also found a rocky place with seaweed, which is the favorite food of sea turtles, so if you are lucky, you can meet sea turtles.
It is a very pleasant space with few people.

Hanauma Bay Maunalua Bay Koko Head with a spectacular view of Koko Crater
The 348 meter staircase has 1,048 steps and there are many steep slopes, so it's a little hard, but the view from the top is amazing.
