It's been like this summer in Hawaii this week.
Normally, trade winds blow from the east in Hawaii, but when the wind blows from the west, the east coast becomes sparklingly beautiful.
Makapu, where I stopped by on a charter tour the other day, was an emerald green that made me want to jump in. The Ko'olau Mountains, which are usually covered in clouds, had few clouds and the mountains looked beautiful and vibrant.

The 348 meter staircase has 1,048 steps and there are many steep slopes, so it's a little hard, but the view from the top is amazing.
