Going out restrictions have been lifted, but movement across states is still prohibited in principle. In Venice, it is conspicuous that locals are taking a walk while enjoying the cityscape in a city with few people. The old scene of standing aperitif in front of the bar has been revived and the Venetian character is gradually returning. However, many boutiques and souvenir shops are still closed because there are no tourists.
Major museums such as the Doge's Palace will open from 15 June. The Murano Island Glass Museum will be closed until August. The Church of San Marco is currently in preparation for opening and will be open for tourists at the Doge's Palace. Details will be announced as soon as they are available. It is compulsory to wear a mask and disposable gloves when using public transportation such as water buses, route buses, subways and taxis throughout the country.
