Canada's Memorial Day Remembrance Day was called Armistice Day until 1930, as World War I ceasefired at 11:00 am on November 11, 1918.
Every year at this date and time, the sun shines straight on the monument at the Canadian War Museum in the capital Ottawa. Raymond Moriyama, a well-known Japanese Canadian architect, was involved in the design.
