Two infected people who are currently being treated at the hospital have been discharged safely, and now there are no corona infected people in Fiji!
The first case of infection in Fiji was in March.
Then, lockdowns at an unbelievably fast rate in Fiji, strict crackdowns and quarantine measures by the government and police were able to control the infection.
We are looking forward to the day when tourists will come back soon!
This is the state of Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa (Denalau), which is currently undergoing renovation.
All renovations are scheduled to end in November of this year.
Sofitel is the only resort with a Fiji Airways check-in counter, which is very convenient as you can check out your hotel, check in for Fiji Airways and leave your luggage.
The adult-only Waitui area has a luxurious feel and I'm looking forward to its completion.
The current state of Port Denarau, the departure point for remote islands.
Restaurants and shops in the port are normally open or have fewer business days.
On weekends, you can see families enjoying meals at restaurants, but I miss those days when it was crowded with tourists.
Many cruise ships and boats are moored.
Most tour companies are waiting for reopening.
Recently, some tour companies have resumed local tours only on weekends.
I can't wait to see Port Denarau, which was full of tourists!
