The 5th Vancouver Mural Festival (VMF) will be held from August 18th to September 7th. The production process of about 60 new works is planned to be seen in 9 districts of the city, and a mobile application indicating the location will be available for download. Street parties will not be held this year to prevent new coronavirus infection.
This year's Vancouver Mural Festival aims to support artists, communities and local businesses, and encourages staycations to explore the city while looking for mural art. Since 2016, about 200 works have been drawn in the city, and it has been welcomed that it will prevent graffiti and revitalize the city, and the number is increasing year by year.

The app is free for iOS and Android, but for iPhone it's available on iOS 13.5 and above.

Summer in Canada is also an amusement park season. The PNE Playland in Vancouver, Callaway Park in Calgary and the Sandspit Amusement Park in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island are open. You need to wear a mask everywhere. The admission ticket is a reservation system and the number of people is limited by the hour.
La Rondo in Montreal will open on August 3rd. Halifax's Atlantic Splash Adventure is only available in the water park. Galaxyland in West Edmonton Mall and Canada's Wonderland, Canada's largest amusement park near Toronto, are still closed.
Most of it, including Niagara Falls in Ontario, is already in its third phase of economic resumption, but the Greater Toronto and International Airport Peel areas have been decided to move on 31 July. The same applies to Japan, but even in Canada, traveling abroad this summer, Canadians who usually travel abroad enjoy traveling in Canada this summer.
Canadian Rockies are still a popular destination for Canadians.
Weekends have become overcrowded, such as Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.
Increasing the number of tourists is good for hotels, restaurants and attractions. However, at the same time, the social distance must be adhered to.
In Banff, Alberta, the heart of the Canadian Rockies, it has become mandatory to wear masks on public public spaces and Banff Avenue starting July 31 as a measure against coronaviruses. It is the first time in Canada to require a mask on an outdoor walkway. Even on the patio, it is necessary to wear it except when eating and drinking, and a fine of 150 dollars (Japanese yen approximately 12,000 yen) will be imposed on the offender.
The summer hours in Canada are very long, and the night in Vancouver today begins to get darker around 9 o'clock.

This year, more than 280 restaurants in Vancouver have patios set for June-October only. This is because the number of seats in the store has decreased due to the new coronavirus infection prevention guideline, and management is not established, so the city has relaxed regulations.
The patios at each store are colorful, and it's exciting just to look at the people who enjoy eating and drinking.
Whistler, which is about a two-hour drive from Vancouver, has become the venue for the 2010 Winter Vancouver Olympics, but it is a resort where you can enjoy activities not only in winter but also all year round. The central village with many shops is ideal for shopping.
Due to the effects of coronavirus, both the ski area and many stores in the village were closed during the winter ski season, but it gradually reopened, and after reopening the tourist gondola on June 29, it will be in Whistler Village. Tourists have come to visit.
The Audin Museum and Scandinav Spa Whistler have also been reopened.
About two months after the reopening of Arches National Park, our staff visited on July 20th to check the current status of Arches National Park. As you can see from the photo, although there are some tourists at each tourist attraction, I felt that it was significantly less than this summer vacation.
Perhaps the cause is the decrease in the number of tourists from overseas who would have come to sightseeing every year, and the decrease in the number of tourists from the distant places such as the east coast within the same United States.
However, as you can see in the picture, the wilderness of the United States is still there and we are waiting for your visit when the situation someday ends.
In addition, regarding the update information in the same Grand Circle area, the closure of Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon managed by Navajo people has been extended until August 16. Since the extension measures have been taken approximately every 2-3 weeks since the closure in March, it is possible that this may change in the future. In addition, we will inform you if there is an update.

The world-famous Niagara Falls is located along the Canadian-US border, with the Canadian Hornblower Cruise from the Canadian side and the Mist Maiden from the US.
The U.S. Mist Maiden is operated by 200 people, half the capacity. Canada's Hornblower Cruises currently have only six passengers on a 700-capacity boat due to Ontario regulations, but Niagara Falls will enter the third phase of economic resumption from July 24, Will be able to carry up to 100 people.
Ontario will transition seven regions, including Niagara Falls, from July 24th to the third phase of economic resumption. In the 3rd stage, indoor facilities will be reopened and food and drink will be available in the store.
Windsor Essex County, which is adjacent to Greater Toronto, where the new infection is still occurring, the Peel area with Toronto International Airport, and Detroit, Michigan, remains in the second stage.
Also, wearing a mask in public indoor facilities is mandatory in Toronto.
