According to the police, pro-monarchist Hindus led by Durga Prasai are calling for a general strike (bandh) on Sunday, November 23rd in the capital Kathmandu and across Nepal.
In Kathmandu, approximately 1,500 pro-monarchy and Hindu supporters will gather in Balkhu and Koteshwar in the city from 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23rd, to carry out a general strike (bandh), and it is said that this may also be carried out in other areas.
A bandh is an activity in which a political party calls on the public to go on strike in order to test the public's confidence in that party, and those who do not respond to the call are attacked, etc., to semi-force the strike.
