Climate activists Extinction Rebellion are planning demonstrations to block the Afsluitdijk (Deadline Dike) in the north of the Netherlands on Saturday, October 18th, from 1pm to midnight, and the A12 motorway (Utrechtsebaan) in The Hague on Tuesday, October 28th, from midnight to midnight.
In the past, when a similar demonstration took place on the A12 motorway near The Hague Central Station, many arrests were made and the A12 was closed for several hours. Please be aware that if roads and other traffic are blocked this time as well, there is a possibility of confusion.

Caution during demonstration march in Amsterdam (Sunday, October 12th)

An anti-immigration "The Netherlands in Revolt" demonstration is scheduled to take place at Museumplein (Museum Square) in Amsterdam on Sunday, October 12th, from 1:00 PM. After gathering at the Museumplein, the demonstrators will march through Amsterdam from 2:30 PM, returning to the Museumplein at 4:00 PM. Regarding the anti-immigration demonstration, some demonstrators turned violent in The Hague on September 20th, clashing with police and causing damage to surrounding buildings, resulting in arrests.
In addition, an anti-fascist demonstration to counter the anti-immigration demonstration is scheduled to take place on the Jonas Daniel Meijerplein near the Museumplein from 12:30 pm on the same day. There is a possibility of unrest in the surrounding area around the time of these demonstrations.
