Currently, South Korea maintains the level of "securing social distance" nationwide in the second stage, and measures to prevent the spread of infection are being taken. The Korean government has decided to significantly strengthen the measures by setting the two weeks from 28th of this month to 11th October as the "Chuseok special epidemic prevention period" before the consecutive holidays of Chuseok, which is the old tray. The specific content will be announced on the 25th.
○ Number of infected people: 23,216 (+110 compared to the previous day)
○ Under inspection: 20,527 (compared to the previous day-2,695)
○ Under treatment: 2,178 (-99 compared to the previous day)
○ Complete cure: 20,650 (+209 compared to the previous day)
○ Number of deaths: 388 (+0)
Although the number of newly infected people is declining, infection control measures such as hand washing, disinfection, wearing masks, and ensuring social distance are still required in both Korea and Japan.
