What is Penghu's specialty? Most Taiwanese may say basalt, except for fresh seafood.
The remote islands around Taiwan are all made of coral reefs, but only Penghu is made of basalt formed by the eruption of a submarine volcano.

This week I will talk about Penghu tourism information.
As you may already know, a large-scale fireworks display has been held every year since 2003 on the remote island of Penghu, Taiwan. This is the 17th time this year, which is usually held from April to June, but this year it was postponed until July due to the influence of corona.
With the convergence of corona in Taiwan, this year's fireworks festival is still as successful as usual.
Furthermore, the number of tourists has been increasing every year due to the inability to go abroad, and it has been a great success that nearly 10,000 people a day entered Penghu.
There are three venues for this year's fireworks display.
The Rainbow Bridge in the photo is the main venue on the main island of Penghu, and there are also venues on the remote islands of Nanami and Bo'an.
Fireworks launched from the sea are gorgeous, and there is also a light show by a drone. It was a fantastic spectacle that was very compatible with the fireworks.
