We would like to inform you about the status of the new coronavirus in Vietnam as of March 18, 2021.
According to the Ministry of Health, four new cases were found in Hai Duong Province from March 12th to 15th. As of the 15th, the number of infected people was 2,554, including 15 positive people who entered the country from overseas. A total of 901 infected people have been confirmed since the third wave that occurred on January 28. (Of which, 717 were infected from Hai Duong Province)
It has been confirmed that one out of 15 foreign immigrants is a Japanese expert, and after arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport from Japan on March 10, he was quarantined in Ho Chi Minh City. However, because the test on the 12th gave a positive reaction, he is currently quarantined at the hospital in Kuchi.

▶ The first vaccination rate exceeds 90% in 6 provinces and cities
According to a report by the Ministry of Health, Vietnam has received a total of 61 million doses of vaccine, of which more than 56 million doses have been distributed to each province and city.
As of October 4, the cumulative number of inoculations in Vietnam was 46,699,510, of which 35,355,593 were reported as the first and 11,613,917 were reported as the second.
Nearly 50% of those aged 18 and over have been vaccinated once, and 16% have completed two vaccinations.
In 6 provinces and cities, including Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City, the initial vaccination rate exceeds 90%.
The inoculation rate in Ho Chi Minh City is 96% for the first time, 65% for the second time, 97% for the first time and 18% for the second time in Hanoi.
