Xinbeitou Station is the closest station to the famous Beitou hot springs in Taiwan.
The original Xinbeitou Station was established in 1916 as a station on the Taiwan Railways Administration's Xinbeitou Line, but in 1988 the Taiwan Railways Xinbeitou Line was discontinued due to the construction of the MRT (Taipei Metro).
The current Xinbeitou Station has become a station on the MRT Tamsui Line and Xinbeitou Branch Line.
In recent years, the old station building of the Taiwan Railways Xinbeit Line has been restored, and it has been opened to the public as a station with a history of more than 100 years, which remains in Taipei City.
