With the ban on domestic travel, tourist destinations are expected to gradually reopen.
From March 17th to June 9th, activity restriction orders were issued throughout Malaysia. It has been gradually relaxed, and it was announced that most economic and social activities will be permitted from May 4th. However, some states have announced that they will not implement all or part of the mitigation under this activity restriction order, and regulations are different for each state. Businesses in almost all economic sectors are permitted, provided they comply with the Corporate Activity Guidelines “SOP” (see https://www.pmo.gov.my). However, movie theaters, karaoke, entertainment facilities, reflexology facilities, theme parks, Ramadan bazaars and exhibitions are not allowed. Prayer is not possible at school or religious groups. Even sports are not allowed to come into contact.
The traffic is returning to the same level as before. Sales of each store are being held due to the reopening of retail stores, and on weekends, especially in urban areas with shopping malls, it is a normal street. All stores are required to enter a mask when entering the store, and the names and other information at the entrance are thoroughly stated. There are also restrictions on the number of people, so you can often see people waiting in line. Even in restaurants, we are operating in accordance with the conditions specified by the government, such as leaving seats open, and it is often crowded with people. General repair services, including convenience stores, and laundry have been restarted, but contact must-have services (spa, beauty salon, beauty related, barber shop) etc. are still unavailable.
All tourist destinations are closed until June 9 when the activity restriction order is laid. In addition, at the moment, the following locations are known to be closed after 6/9. ◆Blue Mosque-Closed until 6/30 ◆Central Market -Closed until 8/31 On the other hand, most of the golf courses are open as usual, and it is possible to play on the condition of strict adherence to social distance.
We are in the process of establishing guidelines so that customers can participate with peace of mind when the tour resumes. The hotel has begun to provide accommodation only for service required personnel. (Some hotels close at the discretion of the hotel.) The restaurant can be reopened under the conditions set by the government. (Similar to in-house restaurant)
