In Phuket, 0 new coronavirus infected persons are being updated for 20 or more consecutive days. The declaration of an emergency continued until June 30, but additional deregulation was implemented from June 15 to lift the nighttime curfew, and to infect almost all facilities and activities related to daily life with various infections. Resuming was permitted under conditions that would implement preventive measures.
I visited Patong Beach sand beach after a long time (see Photo 1). It has been raining since last week, but the beach is very quiet. It seems that 80% of the shops in Jungceylon, the largest shopping mall in Patong (see Photo 2) are open, but I would like to see the lively Patong Beach, which is full of tourists quickly.
Due to deregulation, the opening of hotels has also been permitted, and we are beginning to see hotels that are preparing for reopening. Alcohol can now be served at restaurants other than pubs, bars, and karaoke stores, saunas and facial massages have been lifted, and spa facilities can now be fully opened.
Domestic flight departures and arrivals at Phuket Airport have been resumed from June 13th, ahead of schedule! Airlines operating are Thai Asia's domestic flights: Air Asia, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and Vietjet Air. If you live in Thailand, you can travel by air, which gives you more options to travel to Phuket. Please check it out. International flights are still closed.
All the closed beaches are now open and you can see foreigners living there relaxing on the beach. With the exception of outdoor attractions such as beaches and scenic spots, most attractions are still closed. Shopping centers are open. The full-scale opening of tourist facilities was only after it became possible to receive tourists.
Commercial facilities such as department stores and shopping malls, which are mainly in Phuket Town, have become almost regular business, and the bustle as usual has returned. At the restaurant, the table for 4 people is for 2 people, and the table for 2 people is for 1 person, so you can easily eat out while keeping your social distance. (*See Photo 2)
The bus station in Phuket, which had been closed since the declaration of emergency, was reopened on June 5. It is expected that long-distance buses to and from Thailand will gradually resume operation in the future. Subsequently, access to the beach on Phuket Island will finally be lifted from June 9th! !! It is very bright news in the field.
