Aloha! The other day, when I went to a sandwich shop in Kailua, I saw a car with "Nuff Free Hawaii" written on the glass behind the car. Nuff = Enough. Is it something like "Please take care of yourself and open Hawaii!" Probably it was written during lockdown.
It seems that tourists from Mainland are returning little by little, but from the Hawaiian side, the number is far from returning to the tourism industry. It is also true that there are many people who are still unable to return to work, are looking for a job, or are having anxious time.
Since I am involved in the tourism industry, I would like to welcome Japanese people as soon as possible, but I will not be impatient, be careful, coexist well with Corona, and welcome Japanese people again. I hope you can.

● Be careful when using The Bus! ●
Aloha! The city of Honolulu recently added new rules regarding the types of masks required when boarding a city bus.
Rideable mask, double or triple cloth mask, disposable mask, double neck gaiter (neck warmer)
Masks that cannot be boarded ・ Masks with breathing valves or holes ・ Pull shirts to substitute for masks ・ Scarves ・ Bandanas ・ Face shields only
It's small and hard to see, but please check the photo below.
Personally, I think disposable masks are good, but I really hope that they will be "thrown away" and not reused for days.

● Vaccinated travelers may be exempt from Hawaiian quarantine ... ●
Aloha! As you may already know from yesterday's local news, Hawaii's Deputy Governor Green can travel to Hawaii without isolation if he is completely vaccinated with the new coronavirus vaccine (vaccine passport). We announced that we may be able to implement it from May at the earliest.
If the system works well, travelers to Hawaii are expecting (hoping) to triple by the fall.
Currently, it is said that we (healthy 16-64 years old) in Hawaii can be vaccinated probably in the summer. To be honest, there are still some fears and doubts about early vaccination, but it seems that it will be difficult to travel without vaccination.

The road to Tier 3 is still a long way off, but I would like to continue to tighten my mind so that it does not go back.
