The East Gate of the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim, a World Natural Heritage Site in Arizona, has reopened on Thursday, April 8th, local time. We, Aqua Travel staff, visited the popular Desert View Observatory near the East Gate, which was closed as well as the East Gate on the first day of opening. The Desert View Observatory was full of domestic customers even though it was the first day. There are only two gates in the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim, the South Gate and the East Gate, and only the South Gate is open, which was inconvenient for sightseeing, but this seems to alleviate traffic congestion. After all, it was good that the Desert View Observatory near the East Gate opened. From this observatory, you can see the meandering part of the Colorado River and enjoy the depth of the canyon. And it is a wonderful place to watch the sunset. Sightseeing in the Grand Canyon National Park is returning to normal.
