On January 31, a community-acquired infection of the new corona was confirmed in Perth, Western Australia for the first time in about 10 months. On the 31st, a security guard working at a quarantine hotel in Perth, where returnees lived in isolation for two weeks, was found to have been infected with the mutant strain, and on the most recent off day, he went to various places outside Perth. Perth and other southern states entered a five-day lockdown from 18:00 on the 31st, given that they had been moved.
